Trying to work out what kind of therapy you need can feel incredibly daunting, which is why the most important thing to focus on is actually finding the right therapist. Working alongside someone with whom you feel comfortable is key to successful therapy, so take your time, this shouldn't be rushed, and remember you might need to try a few before finding the one that works for you.
With that said, Julie has 20 years of experience as a counsellor. Initially working in law before starting her 6 years of training to become a therapist. Julie has worked in a number of different settings during this time, including schools, NHS, private sector and Workplace before setting up her own private practice 9 years ago.
Julie is an Accredited Counsellor of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy BACP which means she has undergone additional scrutiny as a therapist to obtain Accreditation and continue to undergo this scrutiny on a yearly basis to maintain Accreditation. As an Accredited Counsellor, she holds appropriate insurance, undergoes regular supervision and adheres to the BACP ethical framework.

Even with the best counsellor by your side, it’s important to have an outlet; a way to vent and refocus. For Julie, it's playing golf, and art.
